Valentine's Day Printables

Valentine's Day Printables

We are big fans of Valentine's Day around here. We love that this day is all about appreciating others. Our Valentin's Day isn't about about candy and gifts. It's about expressing our feelings for each other and making sure that each person knows just how much they are loved.

Why Valentine's Day Is Good For Kids

Valentine's Day is a great opportunity for kids to show love and appreciation for the important people in their lives. Kids can express themselves through art projects or special cards, or even by baking or cooking something special for friends and family. It can also be a great way for kids to learn about friendship, compassion, and giving.

Valentines don't need to be fancy or expensive. Kim shared a great low cost idea on Instagram last week that's fun and gets everyone thinking big. Take some paper hearts and write something you love or appreciate about another person on them. You can do this for a family member and decorate their door or a child could do one of these for each of their classmates. This activity is a great way to get kids thinking of others, appreciating those around them and practicing gratitude.

We've also created a couple of free printables to help you celebrate the love this year.

Our Big Thinker This Or That is a great way to get kids practicing their critical thinking skills and having fun! These questions ask kids to weigh the options and pick their favourite which helps them develop their ability to think through a problem. They also encourage communication and conversation. You can answer these as a family or cut them up and use them as lunch box notes for a fun brain building surprise.

Next, we created some Big Thinker Finish The Picture Valentines. These are perfect for sharing with classmates. Kids will love practicing their creativity and thinking big. Finish the picture activities challenge kids to imagine the possibilities and think outside the box.

Lastly, we've included a version for teachers that puts all of the cards together into one handout. If you're looking for a fun Valentine's day class activity, this is it!

Have fun celebrating those important people in your life and don't forget to share your amazing creations with us!
